The film is set in 1990's in a Kurdish village in the mountains of Iran, close to the border with Irak. Kak Saee has bought an old analog video camera to record the village life and to make money exploiting his films. Despite being criticized by some villagers and even by his own wife, he is enthusiastically supported by the children and even by the village mayor. Therefore he feels free to shoots anything he wishes or is asked to. Each week, he presents the videos to the public in the village mosque for a small fee. Encouraged by his success, Kak Saee starts to look for more challenging subjects. On the edge of the village lives a solitary old folk singer who has stopped singing a long time ago. Kak Saee becomes determined to have him sing in front of the camera. As he looks for ways to reach his goal and to make more scoops, Kak Saee does not realize that he is crossing the line.
