Michael Kavanaugh, a young, wise-guy, NYC book editor, is forced to confront the past he'd rather forget when his former best friend is found brutally murdered. Although all evidence points to the best friend's disturbed brother as the killer, Kavanaugh notices that everything about the tragedy is slightly off-kilter and his curiosity lands him in the middle of an explosive.
