If there is one thing you can find in almost any city in the world, it would be a Chinese restaurant. Chinese immigrants have moved and settled throughout the world and found means of living by cooking Chop Suey, Hong Kong Crispy Duck and Spring Rolls for westerners. The restaurants are all very much the same, although the original Chinese food is mostly adapted to local palate. That Chinese restaurant around anyone's corner is often a small family business, in which the parents and their grown-up children work around the clock to earn a living. This is the story of one of those hardworking families in a Chinese restaurant somewhere in the world: in a provincial town in the Netherlands. And it seems that this life was richer than you might have imagined. This film was nominated for a Gouden Kalf in the categorie best documentaire.
