Based on the musical play "Pobre Menina Rica" (Poor Rich Girl), by Vinícius de Moraes and Carlos Lyra, it tells the story of people from slums occupying an empty town and establishing a new society there. At the same time, a rich girl falls in love with a shanty-town guy.
