The protagonist, Robert's son, grew up, grew older, grew taller than his father, and even became an attorney for a well-known lawyer. True, in one ordinary winter day in the life of Robert there have been great changes. The young rake unexpectedly lost his job and met the charming girl Catherine - the adoptive mother of a lovely child. And much began to change in the apartment of a friendly family of Robert.
