A returning WWII hero is on his way to his home town where he is to receive a medal and $10,000. Before arriving he is stricken with amnesia and falls in with a gang of crooks. They do not realize he is the actual Dan Flannery, and set him up to impersonate himself and get the money. Since he also doesn`t know he is himself, he goes for it.
