"Värmlänningarna(Wärmlänningarna)" was shot in summer 1921 in Ransäter. The Director had engaged Swedish-American star Anna Q Nilsson as the leading role and we can find a young Fridolf Rhudin among many local extras. The Film became a big success, but with time all copies of Värmlänningarna were thought to be lost. In may 1992 three Swedish film researchers travelled to Moscow to visit the soviet film archive. To their big surprise they found there a copy of Värmlänningarna, with Russian intertitles. The Swedish Film Institute restored the film with support of the Värmland Film. The russian intertitles were replaced with the Swedish originals.
