Based on a true story in the Dominican Republic, Andrea, a young girl unleashes a spirit after removing a cross on a sacred holy ground cemetery. The spirit terrorizes Andrea and her family. The past history of the family is the key to the spirits terror on the family and Andrea. Andrea's family, witch doctors, and spiritual healers battle the spirit in attempts to return to a normal life. An innocent girl, Andrea (Ana M Ferreiras) accidentally unlocks grief and terror in the spiritual realm. Andrea’s trusting nature could have never imagined the anger and vindictive disposition of a persecuted soul when she violates sacred ground. Situated in a small remote town full of lightness and laughter, Andrea’s playful removal of a holy cross unleashes a string of dreadful acts upon her family and the village they inhabit. The film was written and directed by Rogert Bencosme who has worked on this project along with his brother Frankeli Bencosme - executive producer, and Franklin Vazquez - director of cinematography. Andrea, acclaimed by the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, proves that Dominican films are scaling upwards, while becoming the best selling ticket in the history of the Dominican movie industry. The film features talented actors, such as renowned Hensy Pichardo, comedian Miguel Angel Martinez, Elvira Grullon, acting professor, as well as the more novel Any Ferreiras – “Andrea”, Elizabeth Ferreiras, Yury Martinez and Fernando Estrella.
