Psychological study of the behavior of two women in managerial positions, trying to save friendship despite pursuing a career at all costs by one of them; questions the value of success at the expense of moral compromise. Two friends, Barbara and Irena, actively participate in social and professional life. However, they represent different attitudes. The first tries to be honest and uncompromising, the second - uses the same unfair methods as its opponents. The quarrels part, but meet again after ten years. Irena is the director of a large factory, Barbara - the head of the city. They are in a conflict situation again. This time, after dramatic transitions, they remain friends.
