这部电影构建了一种历史对照。若没有我们对当下香港社会的不同认知与切身感受，没有我们对自身最私密过去那种迷离却又真实的映照，以及在毫无保留地审视自我过程中紧紧抓住带着回忆的未来，这部作品便无从成立。 同时，要是缺乏对香港和自身历史的了解，我们就无法在这部作品以及自己的生命中相对自由地穿梭，更别谈在电影里探寻那必须浮游的主体（也就是相对凝固的香港身份问题），还有我们自己这个既浮游又凝固的主体。 这并非是对宏大历史进行简单的抱怨，我只是想运用、重新挪用并混合实验电影、纪录片、MV、田野录音的语言来叙事，讲述几个属于我们自己的故事。说到底，这电影也只是在讲故事。这部电影借助历史对照来讲故事。——麦海珊 This film is about how people understand Hong Kong and Hong Kong's history through a historical contrast. Without our understanding and feelings about the current Hong Kong society, without the real reflection of our own (most private) past which is illusory but also real, and without grasping the future with memories in the process of fully exposing ourselves to understand who we are, this work would not exist. Meanwhile, without the knowledge of the history of Hong Kong and ourselves, we cannot freely move through this work and our own lives. It's even more impossible to search for the floating subject (the problem of the relatively fixed Hong Kong identity) in the film, and to find ourselves (the floating and fixed subject). This is not a simple complaint about the grand history. I just want to use, re - appropriate and mix the languages of experimental films, documentaries, MVs and field recordings to tell several of our own stories.
