Rhoda is loosing patience with her lover Max. Even in the most intimate moments he is using one of his many telephones to talk business. Usually Max understands where he went wrong and promises to spend the next weekend with her. Nevertheless he also easily manages having to work on these dates. Rhoda has enough. She decides to start her own career instead of always waiting for Max in vain.
