First transmitted in 1985, To the World's End follows the No. 31 London bus from Camden Town to The World's End pub in Chelsea, meeting characters who live and work along the route. The programme's soundtrack features the Carl Davis composition Variations on a Bus Route, which was commissioned to celebrate London Transport's 50th birthday in 1984.
