1901. Carnia (Italy). During a dark period, of starvation and famine, 15-years-old Agata, gave birth to a dead child. Hoping to be able to save his soul from the limbo, she sets off on a desperate journey to the Sanctuary of Palau. She has heard that certain nuns are able to bring a stillborn baby back to life for the duration of one single breath, long enough for the baby to receive baptism.
