Susan Keene left her fiance at the altar. It seems that she was more or less going to be a trophy wife. She works as a copy editor for The Gate, a magazine, which is owned by Jack, her fiance's brother. She came in to work expecting to be fired but Jack, who is not exactly happily married, is impressed by her that he offers her a column, which he decides to call Suddenly Susan....
