Born on the 15th of August 1947, Aditya Merchant and Kabir Khan mark the return of male protagonists on Indian Television in KISMAT an epic saga. A story of enmity between two powerful characters, set over 60 years the story is set in the immediate post independence era and spans to the present generation. The show revolves around the two central characters Aditya Merchant and Kabir Khan. Aditya Merchant is the heir to a rich industrialist family born with a golden spoon. Life is already charted out for Aditya as an heir to one of the richest industrialist families. He has access to all the privileges and was taught early in life that winning is all that matters, at any cost, and being a true Merchant, Aditya has made winning his habit in everything he does. While Kabir Khan, though born to Muslim parents is adopted by a Hindu family, is fated for a life full of struggles.
