Robert Smith，Born in london in 1940, his father was a sucessful cinema owner and property tycoon. Despite excellent grades in school he decided not to go to college. In 1958 he became the manager of a band and spent two years in Holland and Germany. In 1960 he went to live in LA for a year in order to become an actor - but with little success.
