Reuben Guberman，A self-described "fat, Jewish maverick," left his native New York at age 17 for sunny Miami, Florida where he stayed for 25 years. Starting his career there with cooking hamburgers and managing drive-in restaurants, he decided to try his hand in radio and was soon announcing and producing shows.
