George Bassman，Composer and songwriter ("I'm Getting Sentimental Over You", the Tommy Dorsey theme), conductor and arranger, he was educated at the Boston Conservatory and studied with Toch and Strelitzer. Between 1931-1934 he arranged for dance orchestras, and then for Andre Kostelanetz and CBS between 1934-1936.
