埃马努埃尔·珀尔武,Emanuel PÂRVU (1979, Romania) was educated as an actor at the National University for Theatre and Film in Bucharest. Besides portraying roles in films by well-known Romanian filmmakers such as Cristian Mungiu, Pârvu is also a director for theatre and film and holds a doctorate in Dramaturgy. He won several prizes for his plays, and also received an award for his short film Chicken, Fries and Coke (2012) at the Anonimul International Film Festival in Romania. For his first feature-length film The Not So Bright Side of Things (2017) he received the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Director and Best Actor.
