巴勃罗·贝隆，Inheriting the tango tradition from the main Argentinian masters, Pablo Veron innovate this dance and creates with his style a unique form which won him the respect of previous generations as well as today’s tango dancers. Acclaimed in Buenos Aires, Pablo rapidly acts as a remarkable ambassador for this mysterious, sensual, and at times whimsical dance. From 1986 to 1987, Pablo dances and performs in musical comedies produced in Argentina: Evita, Cabaret and Sweet Charity. He travels more and more, and is invited in several dance festivals and television shows across South America. In 1989, Pablo charms Paris with « Tango Argentino », graceful, artistic, granted with a Tony Award and recognized worldwide for its magic. « Tango Argentino » stages the most faithful performers of tango’s music, its song and its dance. After this success, Pablo is invited by Mr. Alfredo Arias and creates the choreography of «Mortadela» in which he also performs. He wins a « Molière » in 1993 for this piece, rated as « best performance » of the year. Again with Mr. Arias, Pablo works in « Fous des folies » at Folies Bergères, as choreographer, tango and tap dancer. In 1995, Pablo is invited to dance in «La Grande nuit du tango» in Amsterdam, then in Marseille during «Les Trottoirs de Marseille». No other than the British filmmaker, Sally Potter, is his dance partner, and also one of his dance student. Between the two of them, an idea is born: to make a film about tango. Again with Mr. Arias, Pablo performs in «Bal de la rose» in 1996, presented in Monte-Carlo. The following year, he works in «Cabaret Coconuts» presented at the cabaret of the Montreal Casino. Sally Potter’s idea of making a film about tango evolves. She asks Pablo to create the choreography as well as perform and dance in the film. The feature film entitled «The Tango Lesson» exemplifies their collaboration, talent and love for tango, and charmed the public. This film also won the Best Film Award at the International Film Festival of Argentina, in 1997. Meanwhile, Pablo is granted the Annual Sadaic Prize by the Society of Authors and Composers of Argentina, recognising the contribution of artists who have made the national repertoire known abroad. The following year, Pablo is granted the American Choreography Award for «Outstanding Achievement in Motion Pictures». At the beginning of 1999, Pablo demonstrates his art and knowledge in front of the presidents of the United States and Argentina, at the White House in Washington. The Philharmonic Orchestra of Oslo invites him to choreograph and dance during the premiere of the «Philharmonic Tango» concert. To celebrate the inauguration of the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway, Pablo is invited to stage «Tango Argentino». In 2000, he choreographs and dances in the show by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Stockholm, and is granted the prestigious prize of the Guggenheim Foundation. In 2001, Pablo performs at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C. He then dances and choreographed in the film «Assassination Tango», written, directed and performed by Robert Duvall. Pablo also performed a part in the film entitled «The Cup», produced by Robert Duvall and in «The Man Who Cried» directed by Sally Potter. Actually he plays, dance and choreograph in the successful play “Tanghost”, in the National Theatre in Oslo. Proud to share his talent and experience, Pablo has also been teaching tango in Europe and in America since 1991.
