Roman Gromadsky，Roman Borisovich Gromadsky was born on December 18, 1940, in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia). From 1941-1943 he and his mother survived the siege of Leningrad during the Nazi occupation in the Second World War.
