Joel Plaskett，Halifax Singer-Songwriter Joel Plaskett was a member of the legendary (on Canada's East Coast at any rate) band Thrush Hermit. Formed in 1992, the band first came to major attention at the same time as other Halifax acts like Sloan, The Super Friendz and Eric's Trip. Thrush Hermit called it quits in 1999.
